Brooks Koepka

The Shriners Open

This week we have the The Shriners Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada. This course is playing at 7,255 yards and Par 71. It has bentgrass greens with bermuda fairways and rough. The course features large greens that roll at an average pace.

$10k and up

Brooks Koepka $11,700 – You will see him recommended quite a bit across the industry this week for very good reason. It’s tough to find a flaw in this dudes game so each week he plays in an event it seems like he should be in the mix. When the field is strong I almost play him every time.

Patrick Cantlay – $11,100 – He won here in 2017 and finished runner-up last year so he looooves this golf course. He is popping out at me statistically and with him being priced at $11,100 think people will pass up on him this week.

Honorable Mention – Dechambeau

$8,000 – $9,800

Tony Finau $9,800 – When I filter things out when I’m doing my research, Finau ranks #1 in ball striking, #1 in SG: Off the Tee and ranks #7 in DK points. He can rip off birdies when he gets hot. He might be more on the popular side but I don’t think his ownership will be insane.

Byeong Hun An $9,000 – Hyun An had a missed cut last week but that isn’t going to scare me away from a player who has the potential to win, especially at $9k.  Golf is hard and he had extra time to fix some things going into this week. Last time he missed a cut he came back with a 12th place finish. He just needs to get the driver fixed and I think he has a solid week.

Charles Howell III $8,500 – CH3 straight up balled out last week to start out his 2019-2020 PGA tour season. I love what I see in his game right now.  My only fear is getting off the tee with him as he can get a little wild.

Honorable Mention – Glover, Poston, Wolff, Morikawa, Frittelli

$7,900 – $7,000

Scott Piercy $7,900 – I love playing this guy.  Statistically nothing is really popping but Piercy is a local to the course. Do not sleep on the people who live in the area. Piercy is also one of those guys I can see shooting 59; not saying he is but he makes a lot of birdies.

Abraham Ancer $7,700 – Ancer missed the cut  last week which is OK. People forget how good these guys on the PGA Tour are at golf.  He had a nice T-4 finish last year so he likes the course. He is great off the tee, a good ball striker, and likes putting on bermuda.

Honorable Mention – Bud Cauley, Sam Ryder, Kyle Stanley

The Gems $6,900 and Below

Peter Uihlein $6900

Nate Lashley $6800

Ryan Armour $6500

Bryan Gay $6400

Pat Perez $6300
